I don’t usually share personal things online, but something has been on my mind.

A few months ago, I had a disagreement with someone in my family. Nothing dramatic, just a bunch of little things that turned into something bigger.

We stopped talking.

I’ve been carrying that hurt around, almost like a badge, convincing myself that I was right and that was all that mattered.

After spending some time thinking about the idea of shared existence, I started wondering whether being right was more important than restoring a connection.

I called yesterday.

We didn’t solve everything. But we talked. That’s a start.
