I grew up in a small town where everybody knew everybody.
When I was younger, I couldn’t wait to leave.
Now I live hundreds of miles away, and some of the things I miss most are the everyday connections I took for granted.
A neighbor waving. Someone asking about your family. People showing up when you need help.
I think there’s a reason those memories stay with us.
Being known matters.
