I’m not the same person I was five years ago.
I used to think that meant I’d lost something.
My beliefs have changed. Some friendships have ended. I’ve had to let go of dreams I thought would always be part of my future.
For a while, I grieved the person I used to be.
But watching the seasons change has helped me understand something. Trees don’t stay the same all year. Rivers don’t stop moving. Everything living changes.
Maybe we’re allowed to change, too.
The reflections about creation and shared existence have given me a gentler way to look at my own journey.
I don’t need to become who I used to be.
I need to keep growing into who I am now.
