Sometimes I come here just to read a few thoughts before bed. Better than ending the night scrolling through bad news.

I was sitting beside my sleeping daughter when I read about the invisible connection between living things. It made me think about how love connects generations, even people who never get the chance to meet…

Six months ago, I moved to a new city where I didn’t know anybody. For a while, I felt like I was just passing through life without really belonging anywhere. Then I started going to a small community garden. At first, I mostly kept to myself. Eventually, people started talking to me, asking what I was growing, offering advice. Now I have people who wave when I arrive, ask how I’m doing, and notice when I haven’t been there in a while. I thought I needed some major life-changing event to start feeling connected again. Turns out I needed a patch of dirt and a few friendly neighbors.

Different backgrounds. Different beliefs. Different lives. Still sharing one world. That should count for something.

I’ve been dealing with anxiety lately, and quiet time isn’t always easy for me. I tried listening to the recordings for a few minutes without expecting anything. I didn’t suddenly have everything figured out, but I felt a little more grounded afterward.

For me, the most meaningful part of this experience was remembering that spirituality doesn’t always have to involve searching for something far away. Sometimes it’s in the people we love, the trees outside our homes, and the simple experience of being alive.

My favorite place in the world is a little trail beside a creek near my home. When I’m there, I feel like everything is exactly where it belongs, including me. The reflections on this site capture that feeling so well.

It’s kind of wild to think that every person you pass on the street has a whole world of memories, feelings, and experiences inside them. The reflections here made me think more about that. Maybe we’d treat each other better if we remembered it more often.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from the recordings. I listened to one while cleaning the kitchen, which probably wasn’t the ideal setting. 😄 But I kept thinking about it afterward, so I listened again…

Sitting on the porch with my dog this morning. Wind blowing through the trees. Coffee in hand. For once, nothing felt urgent. If that’s not a blessing, I don’t know what is.
